Kindergarten-Grade 5

Elementary Program (Kindergarten–Grade 5)

At Holy Spirit School, we nurture the whole child by fostering each student's academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth. Rooted in our Catholic faith, we recognize and celebrate the unique gifts of every child while developing confident, compassionate, and independent learners.

Our rigorous academic program prepares students for success through engaging, hands-on learning experiences aligned with the New York State Next Generation Learning Standards. We are committed to the Science of Reading and use evidence-based literacy instruction, including Magnetic Literacy, to build strong readers and writers. In mathematics, students develop conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills through i-Ready Classroom Mathematics, while i-Ready diagnostic assessments in both Math and English Language Arts help teachers personalize instruction to meet each student's needs.

Students also participate in weekly special-area classes, including Spanish, Music, Art, Library & Technology, Physical Education, and STEM, providing opportunities to explore their interests, develop creativity, and build new skills.

Technology is used thoughtfully to enhance learning, encourage collaboration, and strengthen critical thinking while maintaining a healthy balance with hands-on experiences and meaningful student interaction. Our dedicated teachers create classrooms where students feel known, supported, challenged, and inspired to grow academically and in their faith.
