Holy Spirit Elementary School nurtures the whole child by fostering each child’s individual academic, social, emotional and spiritual growth. Here, each student’s gifts are respected as he or she grows, developing independence as a life-long learner, reader, writer, and problem solver.
Holy Spirit School prepares students for success with a rigorous and comprehensive academic program. Students participate in authentic learning experiences to develop literacy through all of the core subjects — Math, English Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science — following the New York State Common Core and Next Generation learning standards. Students also participate in Spanish, Music, Art, Library, Technology, and Physical Education classes on a weekly basis.
At Holy Spirit, we prepare students to meet the challenges of life through the use of technology (interactive SMARTboards, tablets, and iPads), through group problem solving, and differentiated learning stations. Our teachers model a lifelong love of learning by seeking new and innovative strategies to engage today’s child. Students are treated with love and compassion as individuals and are encouraged to think critically in a setting that promotes our cherished Catholic values.
