Our first priority is always to ensure the health and safety of all of our community members. During this time of planning over the summer, we look ahead to the fall with anticipation for our students and staff to return to the building. We are actively planning for the return of our students, and can't wait to welcome them back in September. We will be producing and sending a copy of our comprehensive plan via email to the families of all enrolled students in August. As the current guidance stands, some aspects of the plan will include:

- All students and staff members returning to the building in September

- Students in the building every day of the week with no online learning (although we are prepared for online learning as well if the Governor closes the school building again)

- Parents and Family Members drop off and pick up from their vehicles

- The number of visitors will be limited, and visitors must remain in the lobby

- Appropriate spacing of desks to comply with CDC and state guidelines

- All staff members wearing masks (at this time, the guideline does not require students to wear masks)

- Capping the number of students in each room

- Students will likely remain in one location for the day

- We do anticipate being able to offer aftercare

- New disinfecting and cleaning protocols aligned to CDC and state guidance will be put into place over the summer to prepare us for the fall

This is all subject to change, and we are prepared to adjust as restrictions are lifted. Our comprehensive plan will include several options that address a lifting of restrictions and allow us to shift between several options throughout the school year if and when guidance changes or restrictions are lifted or reinstated.

Although we are still in the planning phase and have yet to produce a final version of our plan, anyone with questions about our plan should contact the main office at 518-477-5739 or email the principal Mr. Kosar at principal@hsseg.com
